A little filler while I am preparing my next figure review.
Voltron, defender of the universe! is back! I am sure hardcore mecha collectors will remember the die-cast masterpiece version of Voltron which was long sold out and limited rare item. The plastic version shall make its way to us again this coming July 2008 to all those who missed it. This Voltron Lion gift set will have the same features as the masterpiece (minus the die cast of course). The photo shows the completed robot, which can be separated into five individual lions. Definitely one to look out for.
Go Voltron Force!
Verdict: PRE-ORDERED!

The follow up from my previous post, this time it’s the review for Legioss & Tread by CM, also done by CollectionDX. Legioss & Thread is by far the most awesome mecha for me in the Macross/Robotech universe. (Ya ya, I know Mospeada is not in the Macross universe). Two mechas can combine into one! This Legioss is piloted by Scott, as in the anime. The standalone Legioss is available too (Without Tread and by Aoshima). But why get one when you can have both? ^^
Edit: There’s supposed to be three part for the video review. Added the other two.

Mospeada was one of the first anime that I have ever watched. I was a huge fan of it since they have transformers type mechas. As with Macross, their plane->gerwalk->battroid mechas are my personal favourite. Recently, there are quite a few new mechas that came out based on Mospeada, from the Legioss (valkyries if you want) and Ride Armours (motorbikes that transforms and attach to the rider, forming the armour for the rider). For the Ride Armours, there are two variants, from different makers (MegaHouse and CM). Below are the video reviews for both of them by CollectionDX.

Next in the figma line is Suzumiya Haruhi in school uniform. Different with the Saber figma, this one doesn’t really get my vote. Just look at her knees! It just doesn’t look very appealing.
Her face sculpt is pretty much like the full scale figure. Really good. And she comes with three different heads. Talk about changing heads on different occasions! A stand is used to stand her up on difficult poses. She is slated to be released at 2381 yen in April. Too good to be true. XP

Max Factory has joined the posable action figures genre, through their figma line! Meet Saber, the ever-so-popular servant from Fate/Stay Night.
I have always hated action figures due to their very ugly and visible joints. This figma Saber, however, in my opinion doesn’t have much of this problem. Mainly because of her armor covering her body. Her face sculpt is very nice (3 of them!), unlike the one from Revoltech where it is obvious that many of their figures share the same head but with different hair. Even her swords are very nicely done.
As with Revoltech action figures, the Figma line is very affordable, at around 2667yen retail price. (~RM80)! Should be one to look out for..
