At last! My very first figure from Dragonball Z. But more like an action figure since the hands can slightly move. I had been a huge fan of the DBZ series since childhood. But sadly, until now only I am able to get hold of one of the figures since most of them are not nice! XD

This is how Son Goku looks like out of the box. Yes he requires assembly. As easy as it may look, it is rather hard. The upper and lower body needs to be attached together at the waist area. Same goes for the ankle and leg area. The process is hard because a lot of force is needed to force it in!

The first thing I want to say about this figure is: It’s HUGE! Son goku stands about 36cm tall! Talk about size! This goku is actually the normal version of him, before he turns into the Super Saiyajin XD

Son Goku is looking pretty serious here! XD Do note that Goku’s hands are by default movable a bit.

Overall, he’s pretty nice. But one can’t expect the same level of finishing as the other more famous figure makers. There’s one pretty obvious and rough seam line at the head. And then, rough areas appear at the back neck area. But in terms of accuracy, I find it rather satisfactory. There are Goku figures that don’t look like Goku at all in the market. This one is, if not champion, one of the most encouraging one available.

My Sony Ericsson K700i for comparison on the figure size. Due to the cheap price (~RM80/~USD25 inclusive shipping from Play-asia) and large size and very accurate representation, I should not be too picky about Goku here and should say that, this Goku rocks!

Final note: My photos are rather dark for some. This is due to he is too tall. I cannot stand him up properly inside my light tent. So I had to lean him at the back of the tent. =.=”
