Preview: Ayanami Rei Alter Ver
Otaku Figures June 11th, 2008This Rei is supposedly the first figure from the Evangelion New Theatrical Version. Rei does look good in this figure. If there is any issues at all, will be her lying down pose, which may not satisfy every figure collector. For me, this is a must get for any Evangelion or Rei fans. She will be out in October 2008 at 5800 yen.
VERDICT: MUST-GET!

hmm, I’m a big fan of Rei but this figure leaves me cold. It’s much better than the goth-loli in your earlier post but I think the pose obscures too much. I’m not against lying down figures, but this one seems a little too… Scrunched up.

I don’t really like the painting, it’s too light. Other than that I love the pose, you can really see her…uh…well, it looks nice!! ;3
