Opteka Close-up & Macro Lenses
Otaku Stuffs January 18th, 2008Got this set of Opteka close-up and macro lenses from Amazon.com for my Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS. It comes with four lenses and a adaptor to fit the lenses to the camera. By default, the Z712 IS can’t be fitted with any third-party lenses unless you have the adaptor.
The set comes with four lenses: +1 close-up, +2 close-up, +4 close-up and +10 macro.
This is how it looks like after the lense is fitted to the camera. Not too shabby, kinda look like professional right? ^^
Time for some shots:
This is the maximum range in macro mode that I can get with my camera without any add-on lense
+1 close-up
+2 close-up
+4 close-up
+10 macro lense
Additional shots with the +10 macro lense. Do note the Xecty figure is a trading figure ^^
The +1, +2 and +4 close-up lenses does amplify the subject but not much.. With the +10 macro lense however, it really does makes the subject much much bigger.. (although still small in my opinion) and allows you to get up-close and personal with your figures.. As can be seen, the images are sharp and very lovely..
The only quirk however, is that after you use the adaptor, there is some vignetting at the edges of the lense and thus you will need to zoom in a little to get rid of it. It can be quite tedious if you need to do so every time after you power the camera up.
For just about RM90 exclusive shipping, I would say this is quite worth the bucks.
