Comic Fiesta 2007 Event Report

The Comic Fiesta 2007 was held on 15 and 16 December 2007 at Times Square KL.. I was kinda waiting for this day, as would all other anime/manga lovers.. I went on the second day.. I had my team building course the day before.. and I was lucky that it was held at that time.. Else, how would I be able to attend it? (Kuching->KL return flight by MAS would cost RM900 alone)

It was a grand event, with anime, manga, figures, cosplays.. u name it.. It’s said to be the biggest anime event to be held in Malaysia.. The cosplay part was the most amazing.. with characters from various animes.. I saw Bleach, FF, Zelda, Code Geass, Shining Wind, even Pacman! (Some of the girls really are cute and pretty btw.. haha.. I like the Xecty girl the most.. ^^) A cosplay competition was held in the afternoon.. and later on, each finalist was asked to become the pieces of a chess game the MCs played out..

Various shops took part in the event with many items selling there.. We have figures, mangas, drawings, posters, etc.. But one booth gathered the most attention, which is the one me and my fellow figure collectors had.. There were around 60+ figures on display that day.. from Xenoglossia, Ikkitousen to Shuraki.. many people were seen gathering around our booth taking pictures.. I was involved as I had one of my figures: Kokonoe Rin from Kodomo no Jikan displayed.. until valho told me that she was “molested” by a little girl that day.. hahaha..

I went there at around 12.30pm and had to rush back to airport at around 4.30pm.. guess the time’s too short for Rin to enjoy the crowd eh?

All in all, I bought a Saber’s hp strap and 4 posters during the day.. and of course, I had to bring my Rin back after the event..
