<p>Bridget is only the second trap figure I have. The first being Capcom&#8217;s Poison, which I had yet to do any coverage. By trap figure, I mean that from first glance, you would have thought that Bridget is a girl, but in actual fact, he/she is a guy. I was rather anticipating this figure, mainly because he/she has a unique characteristic: he/she is so charming, yet Bridget is a guy. &#8220;He/She&#8221; is a term I started to use since the day I need to refer to poor Bridget.</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4652" title="mf_bridget_02"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4652&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid15" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_02"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4654" title="mf_bridget_03"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4654&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid16" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_03"/></a></div>
<p>Bridget has a very nice sweet face, with a blushed look in this figure. From first glance, I do find he/she is rather small for a 1/7 scale. In fact, I think she is smaller than some other 1/8 figures I have.</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4656" title="mf_bridget_04"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4656&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid17" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_04"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4660" title="mf_bridget_06"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4660&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid18" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_06"/></a></div>
<p>Bridget do have a rather boring look. But the way he/she positions him/herself, is rather unique. If only you can forget that she is a guy.</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4662" title="mf_bridget_07"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4662&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid19" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_07"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4664" title="mf_bridget_08"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4664&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid20" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_08"/></a></div>
<p>Bridget&#8217;s hand are placed right behind her, forming a shield against people peeping up her skirt ^^ But don&#8217;t worry, there is nothing much to be seen underneath, since he/she is wearing a black short inside (I don&#8217;t really know what that black clothes is called)</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4666" title="mf_bridget_09"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4666&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid21" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_09"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4670" title="mf_bridget_11"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4670&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid22" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_11"/></a></div>
<p>As you can see, there are some blue paints on her blonde hair. This is surprising, since you would never expect such an issue for a Max Factory figure. I would call this as a defect, since it is not supposed to be there. But despite that, in this view, she is sooooo cute! Perhaps this is the photo I love the most from those I took.</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4672" title="mf_bridget_12"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4672&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid23" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_12"/></a></div>
<p>Bridget has a rather special base. </p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4668" title="mf_bridget_10"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4668&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid24" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_10"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4676" title="mf_bridget_14"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4676&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid25" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_14"/></a></div>
<p>Highlight of this figure: The giant handcuff. The handcuff can be open, just like a real one. But there is no need to use any key.</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4674" title="mf_bridget_13"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4674&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid26" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="mf_bridget_13"/></a></div>
<p>All in all, Bridget is a good figure by Max Factory, but not great. If not for the annoying blue paint on her hair and relatively small size, I might as well recommend her. Ah well..</p>

<p>A little filler while I am preparing my next figure review. </p>
<p>Voltron, defender of the universe! is back! I am sure hardcore mecha collectors will remember the die-cast masterpiece version of Voltron which was long sold out and limited rare item. The plastic version shall make its way to us again this coming July 2008 to all those who missed it. This Voltron Lion gift set will have the same features as the masterpiece (minus the die cast of course). The photo shows the completed robot, which can be separated into five individual lions. Definitely one to look out for.</p>
<p>Go Voltron Force!</p>
<p>Verdict: PRE-ORDERED!</p>

<ol>
<li>Completed the transition to WP2.5! Previously still got some unworkable plugins and some theme issues. All seems to be well now.</li>
<li>Changed image sizes from thumbnails to resized images. Still smaller than the original uploaded ones, but should be large enough for viewing. Clicking on the photos will bring full sizes. Still in consideration phase whether I should reduce the resized resolution since the quality for some photos is quite bad. Either I upload smaller photos from now on or back to thumbnails or just live with it.</li>
<li>Removed sidebar items that are now considered unneccessary. This includes Mybloglog and some images. Reduced number of images and widgets should reduce site loading time I hope.</li>
<li>Maybe some people had noticed that I keep on switching ad between Adverlets and Nuffang. Well, the reason is that there seems to be no ad coming from Nuffnang and Adverlets make my site slow. Now back to Nuffnang. I do understand an ad-free site is the best. But.. figure collection is an expensive hobby, so.. you get what I mean.. XD</li>
<li>Added options for post sharing to Digg, StumbleUpon, etc. Hope whoever like my posts can share them. XD</li>
<li>Other small changes</li>
</ol>
<p>Anyone got any suggestions to share, pls feel free to comment here. I do read all of them <img src='http://otaku.prim3.org/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /></p>

<p>Embarked on a model kit project. It&#8217;s the 1/60 scale Wing Gundam Zero from Bandai. If you had seen the anime series, you would have known that this is the second Wing Gundam actually, after the first one was destroyed. I had been a fan of Gundams since long time ago, so when I saw this model kit on the cheap, I just grabbed it. Let&#8217;s begin!</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4634" title="bd_wingz_60_02"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4634&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid33" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="bd_wingz_60_02"/></a></div>
<p>.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what inside the huge box. The kits and the manual</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4636" title="bd_wingz_60_03"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4636&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid34" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="bd_wingz_60_03"/></a></div>
<p>And the tools required for assembly.. well.. not all are used though ^^</p>
<p>The end result will be featured in part 2</p>

<p>This figure come at no surprise since Kotobukiya had released almost all of the characters from Shining Wind. It is just a matter of time. This Mao had the new costume from Shining Wind. Her short skirt is really captivating. Detail looks good. Her outer jacket can be remove. But other than that, I can&#8217;t see any outstanding features in her, definitely not her face. It seems rather.. bland. So she won&#8217;t be mine. Mao will be released in July 2008 with a street price of 5500 yen. Quite cheap don&#8217;t you think, in recent times of figure price hike.</p>
<p>Verdict: NOT MINE!</p>

<p>This is one heck of a figure whom I had waiting for so long. In fact, she is the longest one I waited for release. I still remember I placed a pre-order for her mid last year, only for her to be delayed a few times and finally releasing in February 2008. She is no other than Minatsuki Saya of Black Cat.</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4543" title="gf_saya_01"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4543&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid70" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_01"/></a></div>
<p>One of the reason I got attracted to Saya is that she is unlike all other figures who are always wearing either school uniforms, sexy clothes, bikinis, torn clothes (Ikkitousen, anyone?), etc. Instead, she wears the traditional Japanese clothes, a kimono. In fact, she is the only figure I had seen wearing a kimono to date. The fact that she is holding a gun can mean modern + traditional. A kinda nice blend right?</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4545" title="gf_saya_02"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4545&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid71" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_02"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4549" title="gf_saya_04"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4549&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid72" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_04"/></a></div>
<p>Saya has a very cute looking look. I remember I read somewhere that her clothes can be removed to cast her off. But I do not think it is possible. Not that I tried anyway. On her neck is a necklace and it can be moved.</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4553" title="gf_saya_06"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4553&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid73" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_06"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4555" title="gf_saya_07"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4555&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid74" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_07"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4557" title="gf_saya_08"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4557&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid75" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_08"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4559" title="gf_saya_09"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4559&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid76" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_09"/></a></div>
<p>If you see her from close-up and clearly, there are quite a few rough spots. Workmanship seems to be only so-so. But luckily since her dress is mostly white, so you won&#8217;t be able to see it anyway. I also managed to spot some discolouration on her hair. However, her gun is very nicely done. </p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4563" title="gf_saya_11"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4563&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid77" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_11"/></a></div>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4569" title="gf_saya_13"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4569&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid78" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_13"/></a></div>
<p>She comes with a rather sturdy base, with her name written on it. She is fixed to the base, meaning she can&#8217;t be separated from it. However, as can be seen in the photo, there seems to be a very visible peg in between her leg and her shoe, which really spoil the view. But still, negligible. </p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4561" title="gf_saya_10"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4561&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="480" height="360" id="IFid79" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_10"/></a></div>
<p>A cleavage shot. ^^</p>
<div class="wpg2tag-image"><a href="http://otaku.prim3.org/wpg2/?g2_itemId=4565" title="gf_saya_12"><img src="http://gallery.prim3.org/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&amp;g2_itemId=4565&amp;g2_serialNumber=1" width="360" height="480" id="IFid80" class="ImageFrame_none" alt="gf_saya_12"/></a></div>
<p>Highlight of this figure: Kimono!</p>
<p>All in all, I can only reckon this figure to those who can appreciate her as her overall quality is only average. She will be a nice addition if you are looking to fill your figure cabinet with all types of different figures.</p>
